1/72 Anglo-Egyptian and Indian army

G'day guys.
David Berta here from South Australia.
Got a book called "Go strong into the desert" (recommended if you are wanting to know about the Sudan!) and thought to myself with HaT's sets of figures for this period, why not! Some are from another manufacturer but they do add flavour to the army. I started off with painting the Indians first with their Line and Flank companies, the latter even has a screen of Sihk troopers clad in blue!
The British guns look good and are always protected in battles lest the thieving Mahdists get their hands on them!.. Anyway, look forward to the second part of this when I will show you my slightly larger Mahdist Force complete with the Mahdi himself! ("The expected one, the one with the gap in his teeth and mark on his cheek" Ah, Khartoum what a good movie!) I even read up that the British used 'prepared ground' basically a 500yard (?) stretch of ground covered with broken glass, spikes, ditches, rises and mines! Hence the bases of tooth pick tips and odd-looking circular bits... I present her Majesty's finest...
