Dear HaT,
As I was contemplating painting the Wurttemburg Jaegers my wife gave me for Christmas I decided to do something different (for me, at least). I dug out some of my books on the Texas War of Independence and decided the Jaeger Uniforms could be made to resemble Santa Anna's Grenadiers with a little imagination and modifications. So I straightened out the hunting horns to resemble bugles, attached some pom-poms and with a little paint came up with some fairly decent grenadiers for my upcoming Alamo project. I couldn't wait til I'd painted up some 1/32 scale Texians to take some pix and as it was my birthday decided to have some fun with them in my Mexican village (which will one day stand in for San Antonio). I have really enjoyed painting your 1/32 series so far (gives my tired old eyes a break from 1/72). Hope you enjoy the pix.
