And here the last units of my own production so far.
These are British Sepoys in the uniform from 1780 to around 1815. The British had three presidencies in India, Bengal, Bombay and Madras. The cut of the cloth was nearly the same for all three armies, but the headgear was different. You had the Bengals with their turban wounded like a head with a triangle plate in front, while Bomby and Madras had a more shako-like turban. The Grenadiers even had a bearskin fixed on it. For more information on the uniforms I would suggest the latest Osprey MAA "Armies of the EIC" which has a description and plates on the uniforms.
These troops fought in several wars against Mysore, the Maratthas and other Indian states as well as against the French and Dutch in the 1780/90ies. Most famous are Wellington's campaigns against Tipoo Sahib 1799 and later the battle of Assaye 1803 (see the Osprey campaign). In 1801 some bataillons were sent to Egypt against the French, while others fought in seveal Napoleonic colonial campaigns like Java 1810. There are six poses so far, sculpted in the four different headgears of Bengal/Madras and two versions of Grenadiers. After casting the figures I decided to remove the heads and made conversions which went to the caster again. Two more figures are in process, this time without heads as you can see. So all in all there are 8 different poses in four variations each.
