Here is the next unit of my own production.
French Arquebusiers de Grassin. A special French light infantry raised in 1744 which was a large unit, with 900 fusiliers, 100 grenadiers and 300 cavalry. In 1749 they were incorporated into the Volontaires de Flandres. The Grassins fought in the war of the Austrians succession and especially at Fontenoy were they had around 50% casualties fighting the British troops in the woods in front of the French battleline.
With their exotic uniforms they are a nice addition the the (hopefully) comming up SYW French troops from HAT or any other manufacturer.
Many thanks to Mr. Wild.
