Hello chaps
As historians will know, Kursk in 1943 was the largest Armourfast battle the world has ever seen. Sorry, that should be "armour battle". Anyway, I hope you enjoy the snaps here of my attempt to recreate a tiny corner of that huge battle.
Sharp-eyed viewers will spot German mortars supporting German armoured infantry as they break through the lines in an attempt to knock-out the Russian howitzers. The Russians have a Pak 36 masquerading as 45mm ATG, but that proves useless against Panzer IIIJs. And when a platoon of brand-new T-34 mod 1943 arrive they're no match for the seasoned crews of the Stugs.
As in reality the Germans do heavy damage but fail to achieve their objective. Might have been different if Panthers had been available in numbers...!
Best Regards
