1/72 Barbed Wire

I don't know if this is any interest, but here are photos showing how my lovely wife made the barbed wire fencing used in our recent game....
The base is made from foam core poster board cut into strips. The pickets are made from copper craft pins that have a loop in the end; a second loop is added by twisting around needle nosed pliers about an inch from the top and the pins cut to length. The wire is then threaded through these loops and secured under the base with duct tape at each end. In 1/72 you cannot see individual barbs from the sort of distance the models are viewed from, so we used the metallic wire used for floral bows and gift tags. Once the long strands have been threaded and secured, the criss-cross pieces are simply glued in between the posts. The whole thing is then sprayed with a red/brown primer and the based landscaped.
