Lately there's been a lot of discussion in the forum concerning poses and the lack thereof in some sets. One is about the Early German infantry set in which no grenade throwing figure is included. This irks me too since I need them to play wargames. Now since I also own several of the great Jäger sets I decided to remedy the problem by simply head swapping.
Then I started on a true head-swapping-frenzy and lo and behold here are the results:
A Late War German mortar crew and officer given a pickelhaube helmet.
Some headswaps between Turkish troops and Egyptian Camelry.
The other way round works just as well to create much needed command and cavalry. I know these are in the HäT pipeline but as I was on a roll I decided to do them anyway!
Some painted examples, two Late German HMG's converted into Early ones and a Turkish spotter converted to a Late German by supplying a Stahlhelm.
All you need is a sharp craft knife and some plastic glue (I use Revell Contacta)
Now where do I get all those Pickelhaube
The cause of all this headache:
