Hello,
I have included a zip file of a few pictures of a recreation of a part of this epic encounter between the Prussians and their French adversaries. It is certainly not accurate and there is a certain amount of artistic license but it does show some nice HäT products.
October 14th 1806 and the massed ranks of the Prussian cavalry charge the hastily formed French squares of Gudin's 3rd division outside Hassenhausen.
The von Gettkandt (No.1) and von Koehler (No.7) Hussars provide a feint to draw the French fire as the main body of the von Beeren (No.2) and von Heising (No.8) Curassiers hopes to cut its way througfh the French square.
The 25éme of the Line braces itself for the Prussian onslaught
The von Gettkandt (No.1) Hussars. Not actually present but I haven't painted the von Bluecher yet.
The von Koehler (No.7) Hussars, likewise at Jena on this day but they are so colourful.
The von Irwing Dragoons (No.3) supported by elements of the von Krafft (No.11) regiment manage to breakthrough the already exhausted 85éme of the line. The 21éme of the line are marching up to reinforce the breakthrough.
Runaway!!

General:-
Please note the use of the mirror in the background to give the battlefield a little depth. Comments are always welcome though I am fully aware that the order of battle was different and not all events are historically accurate, but that's what playing with little toy soldiers is all about.
Best regards,

Many thanks to Tom.
