The piggery, which was not a piggery.
North side of the dwelling house. The small attached building contained the well, the door is the one through which Baring and company abandoned the farm into the kitchen garden, after the French overran the defenders. Consequently this door is described by Edward Cotton (A Voice From Waterloo); the only part from the buildings, from which a participant of the battle gave us dimensions, namely that it was four feet (approx. 1.20 metres) wide... Hence it was from this part, that my caculations for the model started!
