I send you some pics about new work. The "Royal Etranger" was an infantry regiment of the Spanish army of Joseph Bonaparte. The unit was raised for Leopold Hugo, Aide du Camp of King Joseph in December,1808. First the regiment recruited foreigners, ex-members of the Spanish Bourbon army: Walloniens, Swiss, Irish... The effectives of the "Royal Etranger", four bons was completed her ranges with Spanish prisoners of war, to result in a disgraceful desertion-rate. The regiment wore black coat in French style with red cuffs and collar... The unit were heavily engaged against the Empecinado's guerrillas in the lands of Avila, Guadalajara and Cuenca... The miniatures are from the Hat's box "Napoleonic French fusiliers", the grenadiers and voltigeurs from Hat's box "Napoleonic French light infantry"...
