As an undergraduate art student at university currently in my last year I am basing my work upon miniatures and I have used 1:72 scale figures in my work. I have created different scenes of battles from history and placed them within suitcase as if they have inhabited the suitcase and made it their own. I then drill holes in the side and added lights in the top so you can see the scene inside the suitcase. Enjoy.

I wanted this piece to be based upon the battle of Little Big Horn but I wanted to bring cowboys into the mix. I made the rock face using polystyrene and modrock, the grass is made from a nail brush.
On this picture you can see the Indian’s wigwams upon the cliff. On the other side you can see the cowboys and in the middle there is the cavalry passing through. The background I used for this scene is of the Wild West.
To be continued.
Many thanks to Mr. Oliver.
