As an undergraduate art student at university currently in my last year I am basing my work upon miniatures and I have used 1:72 scale figures in my work. I have created different scenes of battles from history and placed them within suitcase as if they have inhabited the suitcase and made it their own. I then drill holes in the side and added lights in the top so you can see the scene inside the suitcase. Enjoy.

I decided to use the suitcase differently this time and had it standing up to give me height and I thought the perfect piece to put in it is a Roman temple. I made the temple and painted the figures.
You can see the lights clearly in this picture at the top. In the bottom you can see the Celts charging against the Romans who are standing on the temple steps. The scene I wanted in the background was a roman village and I think it works quite well.
Many thanks to Mr. Oliver.
