Hi!
Here are two Deport guns as used during WW1. Both are from the 'Dolomiti front' in the Alps. To make late war version head swap is recommended. I found out that drilling a hole before adding new head gives the best results!
As digging a trench in rocky ground is extremely hard (I was doing it with use of explosives and heavy machinery in my time) piles of stones were used as protection.
Here are guns side by side. On the bottom of the pick there are WW2 versions for Africa in sand color, and WW2 'European' version in Italian 'olive drab' color. WW2 guns have their wheels painted, while WW1 version has wheels natural in wood while WW1 Italian artillery had very much 'dark green color'.
