Here are some pics of your Pennisular British infantry, I have also sent a step by step painting guide, and some great pics of a finished unit.

1. After a good soak in hot soapy water, black the figures with watered down acrylic.
2. I paint all my figures in a 2 or 3 shade system, so dark red, for the jacket, or your normal red with a blob of brown mixed into it. Then the trousers, for the dark shade I use dead white with a blob of charred brown mixed into it, I have tried using all different shades of grey, but the white/brown mix looks best to me.
3. Then paint the straps with the white/brown mix, touching up any overspill with the dark red. The collar & cuffs are yellow/brown mix again. Continue to paint the figure with dark shades, flesh, water bottle, musket etc.
4. Then paint the light shades, so that the dark shade shows in the creases of the figures uniform. A good way to lighten the dark flesh tone is a tiny blob of yellow & white. When painting the face, I always start with a vertical line down the nose, then top lip and chin, last the cheek bones, making sure that the darker shade can be seen. A good way to check the figure is to hold it at arms length, and the dark/light shading should stand out.
