Hey,
After some long hard painting work, I thought I'd share my results. I've let myself go on the El Cid Cavalry boxes, first I'm sending the heavies. Since I use natural light for my pictures, it's waiting for the Sun to come to make those of the lights...
I like to have some background to go with my figures, so these are decorated with the weapons of cities too far from my place, or else knights who once lived here, some 700 years ago. I've got the inspiration for a lot of these shield decorations in the "armorial de Gerle" which has a nice online version. Their may be some small differences due to my sources, which proved not always to be completly foolproof.
Firstly, I've include the 12 knights I made, and to conclude some details of a little battle I've played with them againts their HäT opponents.
The represented cities are:
Bruges
Damme
Diksmuide
Kortrijk
Oostkamp (my hometown)
Roeselare
Ypres
and the knights:
Gerrit, Bastard of Ostend
Lord of Gruuthuse
Lord of Lichtervelde
Lord of Maldegem
Wigant of Oostveld
Hope you like them!
Yours Sincerely,
Brecht Laforce
