Here are some photos of our game at "Phalanx" - the game held at St Helens & run by the St Helens Spartans
This is the layout of the table. As you can see, a simple layout with cover available if you want it, but some nasty surprises if you're not careful!
A couple of Cromwells carefully advance supported by an Achilles...
blissfully unaware of what's coming in the opposite direction!
A Table to drool over - the new Sherman, StuH42 & M36 Jackson together with sprues of the British Heavy Weapons & Machine Guns
Our first winner - wanted to know how to play the game, so we pitched him against his Dad... shame for his Dad, really...
Our second young gamer, also being introduced to the hobby by his dad...
Sons 2, Dad's 0
Grudge match, now... this lad said that he'd gamed before...so he took on Colin (with Steve's help)
This was the start of Colin's encounter with the JagdPanther...
and this was the end...
but when Colin rolled a 9
.And the lad rolled a 6
there could be only one outcome...
but pulling victory out of his pocket...
Then we had our annual Dad v Son rematch - every year these two come back to challenge each other & if I recall, honour's about even...
So, overall, a good fun show... plenty of games run & plenty of happy faces... can't be bad!
Regards
Colin Foster
