1/32 Würtemberg Grenadiers (Part 2)

Our club member Piet Lambrecht painted the grenadiers. Hope you'll like them too.

A few weeks ago, my dear friend & brother-in-war-gaming, Dirk Donvil, asked me if I would like to paint the Würtemberg grenadiers which he received from Hät. I was really excited to do so, because the German allies from Napoleon are my favourites on the war game battlefield. The six Würtemberg grenadiers were easy to paint, given the fact that they are so highly detailed. It was really a pleasure to paint these figures.
For the correct painting of the grenadier, I studied the Würtemberg army in the book of Liliane & Fred Funken. As you may see on the pictures, I choose 3 different regimental colours:
the 1809 campaign
- pink facings : von Franquemont rgt
- orange facings : Herzog Wilhelm rgt
- yellow facings : starting as von Phull rgt later Prinz Paul rgt
other colours were :
white : von Camrer rgt later von Phull
light blue : Prinz Friedrich rgt
(another) white : Kronprinz rgt
red : von Neubronn rgt later von Koseritz
