Hi,
I have had this conversion in mind for some time, but with the increased level of requests on the forum of late I thought it was time to try and see if it would work. The main figure is a Hat ww 1 Turkish infantryman with his head chopped off and replaced by a Hat foreign service helmeted Brits head. The photos show where the green stuff was added to try and get the webbing and kit right,a magazine was also added to the rifle, the Turk had one ammo pouch each side removed and the pocket covers removed from the front of the jacket. Prior to adding the green stuff, a coat of pva was painted over the whole figure to help the green stuff to stick. This was left to dry overnight, then an oil based paint was applied to form a key for the acrylic paints, again left to dry overnight first. Then it was painted up as a British Infantryman at Omdurman, but could also be just at home in South Africa, NE Frontier or NW Frontier. The lone figure took a long time to convert, so it would put me off doing a whole army, but none the less I am pleased with my Hat Late Victoriana British Infantryman.
Warmest regards
