Hi all,
Photographs of the Punjab Frontier Force and Officers in action somewhere in the Indus Valley, 1887.
The kneeling on-guard conversion is very simple but it adds character.
The mountain gun and crew was fun to do. Perhaps HAT may include these in their Colonial sets in the future. The gun is an Essex 15mm gun carriage with a barrel from a larger calibre gun. Somehow it just looks right.
I started with a gun metal barrel which is more accurate but the brass barrel looks better to me.
The figures are a joy to paint and I've got enough left over for another unit, this time in scarlet tunics.
Thanks to HAT for producing another outstanding set.
