Here some pictures of your French infantry set (the former Airfix indeed) painted as Westphalian infantry (Wesphalia was a German state that furnished troops to Napoleon the 1st as member of the Rhine Confederacy),

soldiers of your British light infantry set and

some Esci Polish Lancers painted as chevau-léger of the Berg Duchy (another small German state allied to France).
