The Prussian Fusilier Bataillon von Borel du Vernay - 1806 - hornist from Prussian Elite set...
Originally a sort of second-class line infantry, recruited from conquered territory, they were converted into light infantry battalions and trained as such. In 1806 there were 24 fusiliers battalions, grouped into 3-battlion brigades. Shako insignia was a white metal eagle, the cravats were black with with edging. Officers wore the chapeau. The crimson tassel on his sword knot should indicate the 1st Company, ("Leib"-white, 1st-crimson, 2nd-yellow, 3rd-violet, 4th-orange).
