Dated: Sept 5, 2007.
Hi:
I send you some pictures of my summer work. It is about a forgotten regiment of the Napoleonic wars: the regiment de Joseph Napoleon. This unit was raised from Spanish soldiers to take prisioners by the French after the epic escape to the ships of the royal navy of the greater part by the division de la Romana (it was Danmark,1808 but this is anotter story). This unit was formed on 13 February 1809 and consisted of four battalions, two serving in I corps, Marschal Davout and two in IV corps, Prince Eugene de Beauharnais.
Cheers.
