1) Tesserarius, third in command of the century (extra heavy legionary). Note the extra arm protection on his right arm and shoulder and the greaves on both his legs.

2) Aquila, the eagle of the Legion, carried by an Aquilifer. The Aquilifer was a senior signifer.
