Flower Class Corvette in 1/72

I have built two of the Revell Flower Class Corvette kits in 1/72nd scale. The UK built them and the US Navy operated many of them, and immediately replaced the British weapons with US weapons. My Flower Class Corvette is mostly straight out of the box, being built as the American version, but I cut the bottom of the hull off and plated over the hole in the bottom with heavy sheep plastic so it would slide on the wargame table. I did replace the British weapons with American ones in metal.
The other corvette I built as a small merchant ship. I cut off the bottom of the hull, but cut it so the ship rides higher in the water. I left off most of the front and rear details and added removable hold hatches and cargo booms. The gun tubs can ship a variety of guns, usually I mount a 3" and a dual 40 mm Bofors gun. The guns and tubs can be removed for an unarmed version. The bridge can be open or as seen here, closed.
My wife got me the first corvette model and it took about 10 years of on again off again work, and research. Learning to cut the hull straight and level and even was the most difficult.
