A contribution from Mr. Dino Fernández and Mr. Jorge Sepúlveda of Chile:
"Hi, I'm sending some photos of a diorama that I made with my friend Dino from Santiago, Chile, presenting the Battle of Bailén, during the Peninsula War in Spain, fought in 1808, Spaniards against the French army commanded by General Dupont. It was the first battle that the French were to lose and the only one for the Spaniards to win alone, but it encouraged the British intervention that same year.
Here you can see the two batallions of Municipal Guard of Paris, first in green coats, the second in red coats) the third legion de reserve (sky blue coats) and a squadron of French dragoons.
The spaniards from General Castaños Army seen here are the artillery, the Tiradores de Texas (in blue), Provinciales Regiment (in white).
Many thanks to Mr. Fernández and Mr. Sepúlveda for sending in these pictures.
