A contribution from Mr. Dino Fernández and Mr. Jorge Sepúlveda of Chile:
"Hi, now I'm sending the Battle of Maipu, fought in 1818, near the capital of Chile which consolidated the Chilean independence that year. The patriots were leaded by the Argentinian General José de San Martín. The Argentinian and Chilean army had fought and beaten the Spanish army under General Osorio.
The scene here is almost the last stage of the battle, the Spanish beaten army is retiring in good order (Arequipa Regiment in white and San Carlos Regiment in blue), the Chilean division is in charge of the pursuit.
This diorama was made again by Dino Fernández and me (Jorge Sepúlveda), this time we used mainly Hat figures, some Airfix, Esci, Revell, Italeri and conversions too."
Many thanks to Mr. Fernández and Mr. Sepúlveda for sending in these pictures.
