From Jean-François Goester of France.
Here are some snapshots of my new diorama (previous ones was related to battle of Waterloo with the Union Brigade charge and French cavalry charge). This diorama now consists in part of the battle of Ligny, two days before. It represents French line infantry (fusiliers on three ranks as usual, voltigeurs on the left side protected by some destroyed walls and grenadiers behind fusiliers) attacking Prussian infantry composed of Jagers (with green uniforms) plus a battery of 4 cannons. Moreover, two platoons of Uhlans (6th Rgt) and Jagers are charging the French line in order to save their own position.
This part of the battle may correspond to the end of the day as Prussian army was retreating, particularly when a charge of Uhlans came at the right moment to avoid Blücher to be captured by French.
Historical note: Carabiniers have participated to the last charges (Kellerman would keep them for reserve but Ney has found them anyway). So, I am not quite sure that Horse grenadiers and 2nd Regiment of Lancers who have participated to first charges were able to charge again with Carabiniers ...
This diorama is composed of 282 soldiers, 27 horses, 4 cannons.
