A contribution from David Ducouret of France:
"Here is a new figure I've made.
The boat's hull is a nut shell and the sail is supposed to be a book. I wanted to make a figure that would not be based of a real event or person, and my plan was to make one that included things I like : books, ships, and the sea. Unfortunately we cannot see it on the scans, but names (E.A. Poe, R.L. Stevenson, J. London, J. Verne) and titles (Robinson Crusoe and Treasure Island) are written in the water (milliput painted with oil paint) as the original title I had given to this figure was The book sailor. I hope you like it."
David Ducouret.
Many thanks to Mr. David Ducouret.
