This is a series of 1/72 scale decals/shield transfers for #8044 Alexander's Light Infantry and #8046 Thracians made by Little Big Men Studios in the UK.
These are rub off transfers that require no water. Simply cut them out, peel off the backing, press into position and press down firmly. Peel off the protective top layer and the transfer is in place. The transfers are on white backing paper so no priming is necessary. The transfers are fully shaded to look like they have been hand painted. They are specifically made for for the HaT figures so they are perfectly scaled to size.
Design notes: "Many Thracian shields are portrayed as using a lot of the same imagery as Greek shields, they shared a lot of the same myths and Gods and so their shield Blazons would be alike. Many shields would be leather stretched over a wicker framework and sometimes painted. Eyes and faces are common symbols. Light infantry would probably carry plainer shields of simple undecorated leather or hide. Thracians may have also used more Geometric designs on their shields in the earlier periods as can be seen from their ornately patterned cloaks."
